Huh?

As we drove to Sancerre on Friday, we were presented with a bag of produce at the toll booth. Some tomatoes and peas. Free. In a country where nothing is free. Why? I don't know. I thanked them properly and drove on.

Then today, on the way home, "Sweet Home Alabama" comes on the radio.

I don't understand this place.

A few years ago, B was in Japan walking through a mall when he heard "She F**king Hates Me" come over the musak system. He looked around to see if anyone else noticed. Of course not. Japanese families were happily shopping with their children to the tune. Nice, no?

I've had that experience in the gym. There's a popular one making the rounds apparently titled "F**k You Very Much". I'm guessing it's Katy Perry or someone who sounds an awful lot like her. Whenever it comes on I cock my head like a blind dog hearing a squeak toy, but no one else even bats an eye.
